Continued issues with driver mismatches
I was advised to create a new post to follow up on an old post...
We continue to have issues where OMEnt flags servers out of compliance due to needing critical driver updates.
However, the critical driver updates do not pertain to the servers' actual operating system. Most of these are a mix of PowerEdge servers running Windows 2019 and the driver updates only apply to 2022 and/or 2025.
The update tasks all run successfully but all report 'No applicable updates available'. Same occurs if I download and manually attempt to apply the updates. Because they do not apply to the installed OS.
I've removed and rediscovered these devices, re-run inventory, rebooted, etc. This has been an ongoing issue for over a year.
The mismatched drivers include Broadcom NICs, PERC and HBA drivers, BOSS-S1 adapter's and various Chipset drivers.
Per the previous thread, it's clear that other folks are having this issue, as well.
Any progress updates?

Hello, for now, to rule out an issue with OME- if a customer is not already on the latest OME version-we recommend upgrading to 4.4.1 and then perform a full inventory after that.
Also, the next major OME release (4.5) will be out end of July, customers can also choose to upgrade to this version when it’s out.
For further support, would you be able to send us your service tag by DM? Direct Messaging | DELL Technologies

@DELL-Young E This issue has persisted over several upgrades. I just upgraded to the latest 4.4.1 version and ran a full inventory. No change; the 2019 servers still show they need updates that are only for 2022/2025 and are not applicable to 2019.

Hello, we are still looking into it but in the meantime, the only workaround we can think of is to create a custom catalog via DRM or the Update Manager plugin for Win 2019 drivers.

Hello, suspecting that because Win 2019 is currently in an EOL state, hence the drivers may have already been removed from our Catalog.
If you require further investigations or debugging via a remote session, suggest having the customer raise an SR with the in-country tech support.
Alternatively, as I was saying earlier, the only workaround I can think of is to create a custom catalog via DRM or the Update Manager plugin for Win 2019 drivers.

I couldn't find Dell's support policy anywhere, but Microsoft is providing extended support for Win 2019 up to January 2029.
If drivers were removed from the catalog, I would expect to see no available updates. Which would be great. Instead, the systems are flagged as critical because they indicate they are missing updates even though the updates are not applicable and fail to install.
I'll explore other options, but hopefully this gets some traction and gets resolved.
