DMC cannot connect, check your network connection

My first attempt at using DMC (Dell Mobile Connect) Windows 10 and iPhone 12 went reasonably well. It connected, I could see files and contacts, could send a text (but wasn't notified of receiving any), notifications appeared on the PC - but I could make phone calls (it said it wasn't connected - even though elsehere it said it was - and obviously was).

Next day, I cannot connect either by scanning the QR code or by "using a code". In both cases, my phone says "Unable to connect. Please check your network connection & try again". My phone and PC both have high speed network access. I have re-started the phone and the PC has been re-booted.

Same issue here as well.  The prior version of Mobile Connect had no issues...

I am plugging away in the background with Dell Support on the issue.  Hopefully if there's ever a solution, I'll remember to post it here.

I had the same issue. Deleted the app on my phone and reinstalled it then went through the set up process again and it worked.

It’s probably something to do with permissions when upgrading to iOS 15. As I only got the issue after that.

Hopefully this helps

I did that a couple of times, but the issue kept re-occuring.  I have now updated the Bluetooth drivers, and it's been working reliably for a few days now (but too early to call it fixed)

Nothing has worked permanently so far.  It works for a day or two, then the problem re-occurs.  Dell have put their thinking caps back on (I said I was not prepared to reload or refresh Windows).  DMC refuses to connect, even though both the phone and the PC say they are paired and connected to each other.

I also had no problems with prior version. I have an iPhone 8 running iOS 15.1

Same problem here. I delete and reinstall the app from my mobile. It works for some hours and then the problem occurs again. The old application worked better. I use an xps and Iphone 13 pro max.

I've given up.  Dell think the easiest answer to the problem is that it's not their problem, but a Windows problem, and as I said before, I'm not prepared to reset my Windows just on the off-chance it fixes the problem.

So that's the end of DMC for me - but if others keep having problems, maybe Dell will do some real investigation and look in their own backyard.

I'm having the same issue, it's been connecting for like more than a month, and then suddenly it just disappeared the function today just like magic. Hope to hear the solution soon.

I couldn't connect my iPhone 8 to my Dell PC using Dell Mobile Connect after upgrading to Windows 11. The error message on my phone said I was not connected to the network.

I uninstalled the app on my phone and reinstalled it from the Apple Store. Now it works perfectly.
