Dell Mobile Connect Stuck on "please allow DMC to make your device discoverable by other bluetooth devices"
Same as title; no matter what I try, I cannot get past the screen on my android phone that says "please allow DMC to make your device discoverable by other bluetooth devices." When I click the pair button, nothing happens. This happens on my phone regardless of the app version I install. I am using a Oneplus 7 Pro with the Android 11 Beta 3 by the way.

There are new versions of both the PC and mobile app, and they installed without any problems for me on Oneplus 8T with Android 11, and Dell XPS 15.
Seem to have new functionality too.
Version 4.0.6072.0 on PC from Microsoft Store

More data - the phone is also refusing to pair with the XPS (Irrespective of the DMC app) - XPS shows paired, mobile says "failed to pair due to wrong PIN or passkey". This happens repeatedly. Wiping bluetooth cache and even resetting network didn't help.

Now after inumerable attempts, I have the XPS showing as a paired device in the phone, but it won't connect directly in Bluetooth. Other devices do connect normally to the PC, and in fact BT File transfer from the PC to the phone also works.
Now the DMC app on the phone crashes when attempting to connect too. Error coded 20900

I have investigated further. It appears to me that this is a failure between XPS and Android 11 (at least on some phones). Even trying to link the phone directly (without DMC) fails with a message about an invalid pin or passkey.
Other Bluetooth devices and other computers do successfully link to the computer and can also link to the phone.
My tentative conclusion is that current XPS Bluetooth stack has a problem connecting to Android 11 (perhaps related to BT 5.1).
Even when I once got past the "Please allow DMC" part, and received the code, it still failed afterwards.
I also found that pairing the phone and the computer had the following result:
Computer said pairing successful, Phone said pairing failed "invalid PIN or passkey". Phone showed as paired on computer (two instantiations - a phone and an audio device). XPS showed on phone as "Previously connected" but will not connect.

Even I'm having the same issue. I'm using Oneplus Nord and not able to connect my phone with my laptop via DMC. Tried all the way but nothing happens.

workaround with widget app above is working i Installed it did the configuration and then remove the app as I don't really want to have a third party app accessing my phone system....
