Windows 2025-12 Security Update (KB5072033)
How can I stop/hide 2025-12 Security Update (KB5072033) from automatically attempting to install? It continues to fail. I contacted Dell on 12/18/25 and they manually installed the update remotely. The update is still trying to install daily. I asked Copilot and it indicated to Download the official tool: Show or Hide Updates Troubleshooter. However, the link is not valid.

My Dell Inspirion is sporadically crashing and providing random error messages after the installation this update. I've been able to uninstall it but the crashes and reboots continue. I've run extensive DELL diagnostics on the ram, ssdisk, power, etc and it finds no issues on any of the hardware and drivers. I then tried restoring the Win 11 by a complete reinstall. My data files remained but all my post install apps were deleted. I installed minimal McAfee security and I still get the crashes and reboot. I have also tried multiple options within Advanced Startup menu.
Suggestions?

Hi.
I have this problem too. I got my Dell 16 (DC16251) laptop for Christmas and the security update is stuck on 10%. I have no idea why.
