Why is Dell no longer making its best laptops

This is more for the Dell Corporate decision makers.

I have been a loyal Dell PC customer for 30 years.  VERY happy with the quality, reliability, and offering in Intel chips, Ram, displays, and GPU cards.  Just awesome stuff typically from Dell.

Well, I am dumbfounded.  I own an Architecture Firm in New Hampshire (10 people) and we are still using 17" Dell XPS 9700 machines (5 years old) that are pretty much bullet proof.  As you'd expect with daily commercial use, the batteries and internals are now out of date.  Ready to buy 5-6 new replacement machines.

You can no longer get a 17" monitor?!

You can no longer get a 4k Monitor in Premium or Plus machines?!

Our previous had (4) usb-c ports, worked great for production machines (dual monitor, power, ethernet adapter, and usb to mouse adapter).

You can no longer get (4) usb-c's.

Looks like dell has phased out the XPS machines with good internals offering?!  Why, these were your best, most bulletproof machines??

We love the 9700's as they are light, powerhouse machines with wonderful graphics.  Not interested in the 15 lb. Precision or other 'work station' machines.  Just too bulky and not versatile enough.

I'm looking to stay a long time loyal Dell customer, but your production offering is really lacking and in losing these features not keeping up with HP and Lenovo (who are now cheaper).

Please look at bring your XPS line back or bolstering the Premium / Plus offering with thoughtful intention for the Business Consumer.  You'd hate to completely lose this market.

Just don't know where to go from here.  We are looking to buy $20k in laptops basically ever 4 years or so and it would kill me to leave Dell, but not sure we have a choice..  Please help.

Thanks Greatly.
