Very Slow Write Speeds on Dell 15 DC15250

Hello,

I bought a budget Dell lapmargin: 0;">Dell 15 DC15250

I5-1334U (1.30 GHz)

8 GB RAM  

512 GB NVMe SSD

I am having problems with very slow write speeds, often in the 100-200 MB/S range.  The read speeds are usually around 3500 MB/S.  On some occasions, the write speeds are 2,000 MB/S, but this is not the norm.  I have tried cleaning up the hard drive, getting rid of old files and used the Dell Assist optimizer.

All of the drivers and software are up to date.  The NVMe drive is a BM9C1 Samsung 512 GB.

Is there anything else I should try to gain better write speeds?  Would another NVMe drive help?  Crystal Disk Info states the drive transfer rate as PCIe 3.0 x 4 I PCIe 4.0 x 4.
