Pro 14 Premium PA14250, freezes unless Intel AI boost driver is disabled
I have a brand new Pro 14 Premium PA14250. When I installed Office and normal productivity software, the laptop began freezing randomly. By freezing I mean nothing was possible for up to 2 minutes. This happened approximately every 10-20 minutes while going through various tasks. I was so frustrated I did a fresh install from a Win 11 ISO. Problem continued. The solution so far was to disable the Intel AI Boost driver in Device Manager.
No more freezing, but now I am without the NPU, so defeats the purpose of purchasing the computer. Driver version on this is 32.0.100.4239 dated 8/5/2025.
Any suggestions on other options to allow the NPU to function, but not freeze.
Thanks!

Are you still experiencing this issue?
It's happening to me with a PB14250 and latest Dell & Intel NPU drivers.

@elaborate8178 The issue is resolved. I installed the Intel AI Boost driver dated 10-29-2025 (Version 32.0.100.4404), the webcam driver 70.26100.2.19939 which has a data of 9-29-2025, but I did not see in December? There was also a BIOS update that I did at the same time. I still have not enabled the Windows Studio Effects for the webcam (Auto-framing, Eye Contact, and background effects) yet. I will try these today and if I experience any issues will provide an update hear too.

Good morning, I'm also experiencing this machine freezing problem. I updated the BIOS to the latest version, but the issue persists. Can you confirm if the problem has actually resolved itself in the following days?
