Kensington Locks for Dell Laptops
Hello
I have a regular sized Dell laptop and want to buy a security lock.
Kensington has 2 locks I'm interested in but I'm wondering why there's such a huge price difference on the Dell catalog.
The "Kensington Slim N17 2.0 Keyed Laptop Lock for Wedge-Shaped Slots" at 30$ is almost half the price than the
"Kensington N17 Keyed Laptop Lock for Wedge-Shaped Slots - Master Keyed On Demand". at 55$
That's a huge price difference, does any one know why?
Also is the Slim N17 2.0 suitable for regular size laptops? The Slim 2.0 version mentions it's made specifically for thin laptops or tablets.
Thank you for your help

Those are usually available from the lock manufacturer (and require some sort of documentation likely on corporate or academic letterhead).

@ejn63 Hi Ejn63
It's for a Dell Pro 14 PC14250 laptop.

Either of those should work. The second one will be an advantage if you have multiple devices and need one master key for all of them -- the other one will be fine if it's for just one system or you don't need to have a master key to unlock multiple locks with one key.

@ejn63 Thank you. Do you know how I would get a master key?
