HELP ME CHOOSE
I have not bought a new machine in quite a while and so have not kept up on the tech.
- I need significant RAM as a photographer running resident software like photoshop (not from the cloud). Plus those dang Adobe products update in the background meaning I can randomly get stuck waiting for it to finish. At least 32, at least
- I don't need a ton of storage space since I store off the machine once done editing, but that's typically the cheapest thing to upgrade.
- While I am a pro photographer, its not what I do all the time so I won't be a power user like I have been in the past.
- Good color without needing to calibrate the screen all the time would be great.
- I have NO interest in AI or in touch screens
- 17" is better, but 16" would be OK
- quick boot time and reliable, reliable, reliable....
So a reasonably priced laptop with plenty of power, no need for bells and whistles for an old fart like me. Tell me what you think.

The Dell Pro line would be the place to look -- the Dell line is the old Inspiron equivalent - you won't find the same level of build quality or reliability as in the Pro (which takes over from the Latitude/Precision models).
