Dell Pro Thunderbolt 4 Smart Dock SD25TB4 Display issues with external monitors
Hi,
We have multiple users experiencing display issues with two external screens when connected to a Dell Pro Thunderbolt 4 Smart Dock SD25TB4. Our setup is using 1 x USB-C MF display port (to leverage USB in monitors) & 1 x normal display port.
We have intermittent behaviour where both will work but once the laptop is rebooted the displays will not connect. I have seen numerous discussions about this and tried all power / sleep settings / fast boot / device mgr power settings etc. Updating drivers on laptop, graphics etc. No success via these methods.
If we swap the USB-C connection to the other display port so both connected via display port everything works. I have updated the dock firmware to version 01.01.11.01. I have come across the below article from Dell which is almost 100% accurate. Issue with two external displays when using different connection type. The fix is to go to dock firmware 01.01.10.01 or later so we have applied the fix but still experiencing issues.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue / managed to fix it? We are using a couple of different laptops, MS surface being one but this looks like dock issue based on testing so far. Thanks.
