16 Plus DB16255, Dell service stinks
Perform a task, go to the next page, and it sends you back. Nomenclature used which is inconsistent. Phone asks for things that don't work on a phone keypad. Round and round to ask a simple question. But it is not in the regular order to things, so they don't care. Machine interactions that do not work and have not been well tested are the height of disrespect for people who have bought their products for decades.

Our Forum users need more data before they correctly troubleshoot =
* What is the specific issue?
* What Dell computer model?
* What operating system?

The specific issue is that the video camera does not work. It messages that it may be a hardware issue. I went through every protocol that you suggested twice. No problems reported. But the camera still does not work. Your website does not ask if you did these things nor what the result was. You leave me in the dark as to what to do next. So after hours of work (including looking it up on Google and getting multiple conflicting answers) and not getting a simple answer from you as to which Fkey controls the video on this particular version of my computer, I am frustrated and feel manipulated by you that you really don't want to solve my problem if it can't be easily fixed.

Page 18 in the online 16 Plus DB16255 User's Guide shows the keyboard function keys. I do not see one for camera.
* Did the camera ever work out of the box?
* 16 Plus DB16255 is on, lid is open, all added peripheral devices are disconnected from the laptop
* Restart the 16 Plus DB16255 and start tapping the F2 key to enter the BIOS
* Go to Advanced
* Verify that Camera is Enabled
* Exit the BIOS
* Once back into Windows, close the camera privacy shutter (page 8)
* Restart the 16 Plus DB16255
* Once back into Windows, open the camera privacy shutter
* Test it here. What are the results?

Yes, it worked out of the box. I already did the BIOS thing.
So how do I close the camera privacy shutter? Page 8 of what? Why not just give me the instruction? Oh, there IS a privacy shutter. Why couldn't you just say that to start with? Why wasn't such a simple response the first thing? I did look for one. But being black I didn't see it. It wasn't until I tried to feel it that it was there.

In my previous reply I linked to the User's Guide referencing the keyboard function keys.
Then mentioned page 8.
