16 Plus DB16250, Random Reboots and Loss of WIFI
I've had my 16 plus Inspiron 10 months. It has the habit of rebooting when it feels like it. I've lived with this. Additionally some web-sites are terribly slow to load - happens on Edge, Firefox and Chrome. Also, sometimes it also loses it's WIFI connection. Rebooting has solved this but today I had to restore network settings and set the WIFI up again. Anyone else have either of these and found solutions. Other than an optical blue-tooth mouse there are no other external devices. I've purchased Dell since 1985 but this is the flakiest so far. I've done the online troubleshooting and had basic support - it seems next stop is calling advanced technical support.

Called Advance Tech support - huge echo on the line then they just hung up - appalling service.
If I can add I'm quite deaf and there seems no alternative to an impossible phone call.

To help resolve this, please use the links below to download and install the latest drivers:
After installing both updates, please restart your system and monitor if the issue continues.
Let me know once you’ve completed these steps, and if the problem persists, I’ll be happy to assist .

@DELL-MacarthurD
I hope I have the following sequence right!
Installed drivers and restarted.
Some websites slow, then internet dropped out.
Restarted again some websites slow then internet dropped out.
Ran the diagnose network problems said "using a network adaptor we couldn't test"
Then "can't reach default gateway"
Restarted ethernet network adaptor but nothing seemed to happen.
Restarted third time some sites quick (X) some slow (Dell.com!) internet dropped out again.
Diagnose network problems again "Wifi is turned off" starting it did nothing other than trying to commect (wifi icon bottom right hand corner of screen)
Did a netwok reset via advanced settings.
Restarted some websites slow still but it hasn't disconnected!
Checked for updates on Dell Support Assist 0 software updates found.
So the new drivers seemed to make it worse?? But surely I must be uptodate anyway as no updates were found?
(My current network adaptor driver shows as intel dated 6/1/26 version 24.20.0.4 - I'm not sure if my network reset overwrote your version. BIOS Version/Date is Dell Inc 1.12.0 31/3/2026.)

try this please
1. Click Settings > Control Panel.
2. Double-click Network Connections.
3. Right-click the wireless connection and click Properties.
4. Click Configure.
Click the Advanced tab.
Select the Power Management setting, uncheck Default / Auto, and move the slider to Highest / Maximum Performance.
Try this after as well if issue still persists
Run Command Prompt as Administrator
Restart the computer
If issue persist flush the DNS and reset WINSOCK
Let me know once you’ve completed these steps, and if the problem persists, I’ll be happy to assist .

Hi
First off...
Description Option one Option two
Model number Intel AX211 Intel BE201
Transfer rate Up to 2400 Mbps Up to 5760 Mbps
So I assume the driver covers both types adequately.
Try any, some, all or none of the following...
getmac & netsh interface ip show interface
netsh wlan show interfaces & netsh lan show interfaces
powershell Get-NetConnectionProfile
netsh wlan show drivers & powershell get-netadapter
You can, of course, try and pipe the output to a text file, EG:
netsh wlan show interfaces & netsh lan show interfaces > c:\users\show.txt
Which should ID the individual card and some of it's properties.
If in doubt please ask.

@DELL-MacarthurD sorry I don't have those options.
When I access settings from the cog wheel my option is Network and Internet
It I access by typing in control panel I get the below and perhaps this setting is allowing a reboot rather than a sleep mode?
The only power management I can find is in the control panel
Howevr, it did not reboot overnight or lose WIFI (I had no apps - oiutlook or any browser running.) Although when firing up chrome some websites are still slow to load.)

@anne_droid I did get a reboot and an internet loss earlier but it found it again. I'll leave it on with a few different things running and see it it's a particular app that's an issue.
Thanks
