16 Plus 2-in-1 DB06250, where to buy a US keyboard?
Hi all,
I recently bought a 16 Plus (which I love). I bought it with a local keyboard layout (German) thinking the kids would use it as well; however, this was a mistake as I`m really struggling switching between my work laptop (US keyboard) and home laptop (German keyboard). I`d therefore like to swap it out (something I`ve done a couple of times before with other laptops), but my problem is I cannot find one to buy anywhere on the net (possibly because the 16 Plus is new?). Does anyone know where I could source one? (ideally that delivers to Europe).
I have found an older Inspiron one that looks identical (for the Inspiron 16 5640 5645: Link to a US ebay sale) apart from copilot key. I`m not sure if it is identical though, as the position of the screws looks a bit different from the images of the 16 Plus keyboard in the 16 Plus manual.
I`d rather do it myself than send it in, but that is an option.
Thanks for reading

"than send it in"
Dell does not have a service to change the keyboard to a different language. The 16 Plus 2-in-1 DB06250 English-US Palmrest with keyboard is not for sale.
The online 16 Plus 2-in-1 DB06250 Owner's Manual PDF pages 77-78 show that to change the keyboard is a total disassembly and not a CRU (customer replaceable unit). It is defined as a Dell onsite service FRU (field replaceable unit). As you can see from the picture, the entire Palmrest with keyboard would have to be changed.

To add what's perhaps obvious: if you need a US keyboard, use a USB external. The last thing you want to do with a brand-new system is to tear it to pieces to replace the palmrest assembly, even if you can find one. You probably wont for a while, until systems fail or are damaged and a supply of parts reach the aftermarket, Ebay, etc.

Thanks both. I guess I'll stick with it for a while and see if I can adapt. I may also enquire whether a field service visit to swap the keyboard out would be be worthwhile.
