15 DC15255, Stylus PN 7522W, unable to pair?

Hi - I purchased Dell Active Stylus PN 7522W to use with my Dell DC15255 with AMD Ryzen 5 7530U. I checked my system and it stated it is compatible with HID complaint stylus. Is this stylus truly compatible? I am unable to pair it with my laptop. I have tried everything - well I think I have tried everything. I am sure I have not.

I checked on the Dell pro premium active pen P7522W support center and your laptop DC15255 is not on the support device list.

The 15 DC15255 is also not listed in the Dell Active Pen Compatibility PDF. You will need to test a Passive Pen.

Hi _ Thank you for responding.  For some reason, I thought if it was HID complaint I could use a Dell active pen. So, it does support MPP (Microsoft pen protocol).  Would I be able to use a different stylus or just the basic rubber tip or passive pen.  I have "passive" pens here and they work but that is not what I want.  :(

No, it doesn't.  The system does not have a digitizer for supporting any active stylus.  A capacitive stylus will work if you have a touch panel -- but it won't support the use of an active pen (Wacom AES or MPP).  If that's what you're looking for and the system is less than 30 days from shipment from Dell or within the return period your retailer allows, return the system and look for a 2-in-1 system that has active pen support.
