14 Plus DB14250, rubber feet fell off after 2 months
I am posting here to seek escalation for a support request that was unfairly denied.
I purchased my Dell laptop in mid-November 2025. It has been in my possession for less than three months, yet one of the front rubber feet has already detached due to adhesive failure. When I contacted Dell support, the agent dismissed this as "normal wear and tear" and refused to provide a replacement part.
I find it unacceptable that a laptop less than 90 days old is considered to be "wearing out." This is clearly a defect in materials/workmanship, which is explicitly covered under my 1-year Limited Hardware Warranty.
Key points for the moderation team:
Timeline: The laptop is brand new (purchased Nov 2025). This is a premature failure of the factory adhesive.
Functional Impact: These strips are not "cosmetic." They provide the necessary clearance for bottom-intake airflow. Using the laptop without them risks overheating and performance throttling.
Precedent: I am aware of other community members (see: https://www.dell.com/community/en/conversations/inspiron/bottom-case-rubber-foot-peeled-off-and-got-lost/647f8b93f4ccf8a8debabbd0?page=1 ) who have had this exact issue resolved by Dell because it is a known manufacturing weakness.
I am requesting that Dell honors the warranty and provides either the replacement adhesive strips or a replacement bottom cover to restore the device to its proper functional state.
I am located in Toronto, Canada.
Model: Dell 14 Plus DB14250
