14 Plus DB14250, rubber feet fell off after 2 months

I am posting here to seek escalation for a support request that was unfairly denied.

I purchased my Dell laptop in mid-November 2025. It has been in my possession for less than three months, yet one of the front rubber feet has already detached due to adhesive failure. When I contacted Dell support, the agent dismissed this as "normal wear and tear" and refused to provide a replacement part.

I find it unacceptable that a laptop less than 90 days old is considered to be "wearing out." This is clearly a defect in materials/workmanship, which is explicitly covered under my 1-year Limited Hardware Warranty.

Key points for the moderation team:

I am requesting that Dell honors the warranty and provides either the replacement adhesive strips or a replacement bottom cover to restore the device to its proper functional state.

I am located in Toronto, Canada.

Model: Dell 14 Plus DB14250

Hi all,

If you are experiencing an issue with the bottom feet coming off for this model, then please share photos of the issue. We would like to gather at least 2 photos if possible. One of the entire bottom cover and a 2nd just like the OPs with a close up of the feet itself coming off. We'll try to look into this further.

@DELL-Daniel V

I reached out to Dell “Get Help Now” support and referenced Dell Lightning Knowledge article 000455554, as suggested.

<To protect you, your private information was removed from public view. All private data was saved to your private Case. DELL-Admin>

Their response was:

I would like to inform you that the issue you reported regarding wear and tear is not covered under warranty. If you would like to receive service for this matter, you will need to pay for it yourself.
I am really sorry to inform you that this will not be covered under the warranty.”

At this point, I’m unclear on how to proceed. This seems inconsistent with the guidance provided earlier, and I feel like I’m being redirected without resolution after spending additional time on support. I just wasted another 30 minutes on this.

Could you please advise on the correct next step or help escalate this?

@ru5ty888

Hi,
I had the same problem.After several conversations they have told me a new replacement laptop will be sent in the next few weeks, as I do not think they have the back for this laptop.

Having the exact same issue and being told wear & tear. This is egregious. @DELL-Daniel V  how do we get this addressed for our Dell 14 Plus 2-in-1 DB04250? Seems like such an affordable fix to ensure there's no long term damage to the laptop.

@RPZ620 I took a look at the case you had and see it was created right before article 000455554 was live. Under normal circumstances, Dell would typically see missing rubber feet as a cosmetic issue and would have been quoted per the warranty. However, in instances where multiple users run into the same issue then we could have an investigation occur like in this scenario with the DB14250. I'd recommend contacting support once more and inform the agent to view SFDC article 000455554.

Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private Service Tag with them so that they can verify the ownership and warranty status. This will also generate a unique Technical Support case for your unique Service Tag. Please ensure you have pictures of your bottom cover and missing feet so that the agent can escalate your issue accordingly. They'll provide next steps in accordance with the article. If you have any issues after contacting Support, feel free to let me know.
