DDP | ST Finger is already enrolled after new user profile
Hi,
I have Windows 10, Latitude E5570 with DDP |ST v1.10
I created a new user profile on Windows 10 (due to migration our domain to Azure)
In my new profile, I tried to configure the fingerprint via getting started in DDP console
The configuration succeeded but then I got the message:
This finger is already enrolled. Please try again with a different finger
DDP | ST and fingerprint worked perfectly in my old profile
How can I fix this and complete configuring the fingerprint?
Please help :-(
10x!!

Anyone..?
Guy, If DDP is not the answer, maybe you know of (free) SSO\fingerprint login extension I can use...
It's weird Dell provides the hardware without any software...

Hey Roy,
Is it possible to log into the old profile? If you can you can launch the Security Tools application and unroll the finger prints from that profile so they can be enrolled into the new one that got made from the Azure migration.
If you are unable to log into the old profile we have a tool that you can run as an administrator to unroll all known fingerprints to the system. The below link will have two folders in it that you can download. For your 5570 you will want to download the CV2 folder.

Let us know how things go, this should get you fixed up though.

Stephen O,
Thank you very much for helping me with this issue
Unfortunately, it did not help... I downloaded CV2 folder, extract its content and run ushcvreset.exe as described in release.txt, the application asked me to enrolled my finger and then it informed me the operation was successful. Afterward, I installed Del Data Protection - Security Tool v1.10 and try to enroll my finger from getting started, I got the same message: the finger is already enrolled...
I tried to log in to my old profile without success...
Is there any log I can send to you?
10x again!

Hey Roy,
Shucks I was hoping that'd get you going. Lets run through the below and see if that gets whatever is cached cleaned up.
There is one other place I believe we save data to that I was attempting to confirm with our engineering folks but with the holiday weekend coming up in the US it was getting harder and harder to find one and I wanted to get a response back to you.
Let me know if this does the trick. If not I should be able to get a final set of steps to you on Tuesday 5/29.

Stephen,
Thanks again
How can I deactivate the Pre-Boot Authentication?
I uninstall the following from add\remove programs:
Reboot, run D:\Downloads\Dell\CV2\ushcvreset\ushcvreset.exe, reboot again, reinstall DDP v1.10
tried to set fingerprints.. still the same error :-(
Not sue if it helps but these are Dell software installed on my LPT:

Hey Roy,
Thanks so much for your patience. Lets collect some logs from your device and see if that helps identify what we have going on
You can download the latest version of the DDS Data Collection Utility from the below link.
https://dell.app.box.com/s/8opb62few70754hfjs1s9rk5zfl9yox3
To collect logs from the control vault side we will need to download this set of tools.
https://dell.box.com/s/ksz7shsbl1rebhi0sykm97wcq10zr3n0
Once you have everything downloaded and extract we will need to run some things, reboot, attempt to enroll your fingerprint, and then collect the logs.
I think that covers everything. Once you have the logs let me know and I will get an upload site for you to put the logs on.
Thanks again!
