So my problem is, I can't reset the ControlVault Admin password.

I had been using Dell ControlPoint Security Manager and I don't remember setting a Admin password explicitly for ControlVault. It was installed on Windows 7 x86 32 Bit.

I had not reset the settings with the ControlPoint Security Manager. I had simply deleted the Windows password and TPM key in BIOS and installed a new OS on it. 

Now I have access to everything else like BIOS (with Admin & System Password), the TPM and Windows itself. 

But, I can't update the firmware for ControlVault and also I can't get the ControlPoint Security Manager to run now. The installation fails at PBA (Pre-Boot Authentication), software and firmware! No matter what software version, drivers and operating system (Win XP, Vista, Win 7 each x86 and x64) I tried everything.

I was thinking ControlVault itself is just an interface / controller, without own memory.

Is there any way to reset this „ControlVault Admin“ password?
