Data Protection Search - Add source fails

I'm setting up DP Search in a lab and I've hit a snag when I'm trying to add an Avamar as a source. I created a local admin on the Avamar. When I add the source I get:

Failed to logon to the source server. Check that the specified username and password are correct.

I've confirmed I can login to the admin gui. I think the problem is the port. I can't browse to https://avamar:9443

I get this from netstat on the Avamar server. Isn't that IPv6?
