New EMC RecoverPoint Online Community is now live!

There's a new EMC RecoverPoint community which offers customers the opportunity to interact with other users and share best practices and tips, providing the unique ability to communicate directly with the experts responsible for the EMC RecoverPoint family.

Data Protection Advisor for Replication Analysis works seamlessly with RecoverPoint to provide additional monitoring, alerting, and reporting capabilities for the RecoverPoint family - continuous data protection (CDP), continuous remote replication (CRR), and concurrent local and remote (CLR) replication configurations.

Data Protection Advisor expands visibility into RecoverPoint environments. Within Data Protection Advisor, you can create analysis rules for RecoverPoint such as checking for “link state change,” “WAN/SAN usage high,” and “Replication lag too high”. You can also monitor configuration changes on active RecoverPoint appliances.

For RecoverPoint, sample reports include configuration of consistency groups, replication lag times, transfer speeds, and chargeback. Service level agreement reports include percent downtime, service level status, and service level agreement performance for local and remote replication.
