Is it possible to have the PostgreSQL DB logs on a separate partition in DPA 6.0?
All,
I just wanted to check if its possible to have the DB logs on a separate partition in DPA 6.0 (Data Store Server)?. I read through the Install guide and I don't think I came across this option. On a Windows machine Install I don't remember seeing any options to separate the actual PostgreSQL db and the db logs (even in Advanced options). I am just curious to know this as I wish to separate the db logs from the actual db for performance reason.
Thanks
Jacob

If you install the Datastore and Application server on different systems, you can select "Install with Advanced Datastore Layout" under Advanced Options as part of the Datastore install wizard.
This will allow you to specify different partitions / paths for the DPA binaries, the database and the transaction logs (this is briefly mentioned on Page 19 of the latest DPA 6.0 SP1 Installation and Administration Guide).
Regards,
