./DPA-Agent-Linux-x86_64-6.1.1.96.bin: line 697: uncompress: not found

Hi Cristian.
The DPA Agent is not designed to be installed on the ESXi host as far as I know. If you check the compatibility guide you will see it is only supported for installation on RedHat 5.0, 6.0, 6.2, 6.4 and SUSE Linux 11.
Why are you wanting to install it on the ESXi host? There may be another way to achieve what you're trying to do.

The good news is that you don't need to install an agent on the ESXi host to monitor the virtual hosts - you can use any other DPA Agent in your environment.
The details on how to configure this is on page 60 of the DPA 6.1.1 Installation and Administration Guide in a section called "Monitoring VMware Environment". You can download this document from https://support.emc.com/docu53643_Data_Protection_Advisor_6.1_SP1_Installation_and_Administration_Guide.pdf?language=en_…
