Details of staging
It appears that although there are data sources for staging these are not being populated. I've checked all the canned reports and they return no data either. Is there a way of getting this data source populated?

What version of NetWorker ? This data is only available from NetWorker 7.3 and above.
Also, check that your collectors are also up to date - older collectors will not be able to collect this data.
The data is obtained from the jobsdb ie. clone jobs where name='nsrstage'

One further point as to why I need this information.
I am working on doing some forecasting on the number of tapes required for the future. Backups which go to disk and are then staged to tape media are recorded as being against the disk media and the tape pools have no data recorded as being written against them despite the total media usage increasing. If I can factor in the staging size I shall hopefully be able to balance the books and thus be at a point where I can forecast accurately.

hey David
What datasource are you looking at ? From the report editor, report item properties, you can highlight the datasource and click "Description" - that will describe to you what data is returned and possibly which backup app we get this data for...
What backup application are you using/collecting data from ?
The DPA Reference Guide (now known as the DataCollectionReference Guide in DPA 5.7) will detail which modules populate which datsources down to the field level.

Hi Elvin
We are collecting from Networker. The data sources I have looked at are all the ones under staging - all return blank reports. I have looked through the DPA Reference Guide and none of the modules mention staging (the notes in the Help state it is Networker only)

That answers my question, we are still using Networker 7.2 so that would be the reason no data is there!
