VTL migration from DD6300 to DD6900
Hello, I have to migrate backup data from DD6300 to a new DD9600, we are using both DD Boost over IP and VTL over FC. I'm running two different DD OS (6.1 and 7.3), so I'm not using collection replication, but instead mtree replication.
We use DD Boost for Veeam Backup and I already started replicating the mtree without problem.
I don't know how to replicate correctly the VTL to the new DD: I can see in VTL's pool configuration a 'Replication' tab, but I can't configure replication from here.
Do I have to replicate the VTL mtree? Do I have to configure manually the library, before or after the migration?
I'm sorry for asking these info, but I couldn't find detailed info about this process: there some posts (like this Solved: How to migrate VTL to another DD - Dell Community ), but the info are not so detailed.
Thanks.

Hi
you can check this:
Article Number: 000011076
For replication purposes, are there any issues if only one side has Mtree tape pool?
Replication rules are enforced by the Data Domain replication subsystem.
In short, directories may only be replicated to directories; mtrees may only be replicated to mtrees. Thus, if you have an MTree tape pool MTree replication should be used to replicate it.
Note: If the replication destination DDR does not support VTL MTree pools then the source MTree pool should be recreated as a backwards compatibility pool, and directory replication used between the DDRs.
