removed a orphaned snapshot, where is the freed space go?

the following the what I did by sequence as below

- First I found an orphaned snapshot  with the size of 83TB.

- expired the ss.

- run filesys clean start

- when still in 1 out of 10 phases, I stopped it by "filesys clean stop"

- now the ss is gone, but I am not getting any free space back when I run filesys show space.

Can anybody please explain to me how to explain it? why 83TB got cleaned by now any space freed. I know 83TB is pre-comp, but still some amount of physical space should be saved. right?

Basically, you need to leave the cleaning running without stopping it.

For a general review of the cleaning phases and what each one does, please see the following post:

Hi there,

as some of my fellow Data Domain friends already stated out - you need to let your Data Domain do the cleaning until the end. Data Domain writes data in containers - you snapshot will be in several containers that have to run through the cleaning process of your data domain. The cleaning will take chunks that are not deleted from your containers and writes a new container - afterwards the container with the deleted snapshop chunks will be deleted in full (cleaned) and the space freed for you.
