recover VM from Replica over EBR failed if DD VE Power Off
We have Policies to backup our VM in Remote Location to one Virtual DataDomain and then clone this to other Physical DataDonain. (Protection Policies with clone Action)
Backup and clone running successful every day.
My Tests:
1. Restore replica fron Physical DD (Clone Device), running 11h for 31GB. it is too long (DD VE was online)
2. create test Policy for local Physical DD include Clone Action
3. Backup and clone for test 2 successful
4. restore Replica VM from Test 2 is in 11min finish
5. power off DD VE and test replica restore -> restore failed = (The follow request could mot be completed. servername on time. Please check log viewer under the configuration tab for specific deetails about each request failure.) -> EBR Events: XXX.com.vmware.networker2.server.error.22552.formatOnVm notfound XXX -> EBR: Backup does not exist.
My next Test was Instant Access:
1. Instant Access in the ROBO Location (Remote Office on DD VE = Local Backup) running fast and successful
2. Instant Access in the heardquarter (Physical DD's = Clone over EBR/Networker Policies) running very slowly and I see the NFS Share come up from DD VE and not from Physical DD was hold the Replica/Clone data.!!
For that i see an big probelm in DR concept!

Hi Andreas, This seems to be a known issue with no workaround at this point
We will provide update in the future on when we can support it.

Hi Amit, I hope this comes up asap in update build of EBR/DDVE/DD/VDP for all versions.
I think this is an key funktion for ROBO and Drill testing.
