Recover deleted DD Boost Storage Unit
I was deleting old, no longer used DD Boost Storage Units and didn't notice that the first SU was also selected and accidentally deleted it. Cleaning has NOT run yet. Is there a way to recover it?
DD OS 5.4
EDIT: noticed that the "undelete" function was added in 5.5.
EDIT2: if I upgrade the DD OS to 5.5, will it preserve the deleted data?

I'd suggest that you disable cleaning and then give support a call. They will be able to best help you through this.Timing is critical though as cleaning runs on Tuesday by default.

Dear Mr. Wayne, Did you recover DD Boost Storage Unit? How about status now?

1. Go to the Data Management > DD Boost > Storage Units tab.
2. From the More Tasks menu, select Undelete Storage Unit.
3. In the Undelete Storage Units dialog box, select the storage unit(s) that you want to undelete.
4. Click OK.

Hi Wayne,
I would suggest not upgrading for the time being.
If you have cleaning disabled and it's not run since you deleted the storage unit, then we can certainly recover this for you. Please log a support case and a support engineer will lead you through the recovery process as it requires running various support-only commands.
Please note that the filesystem will need to be disabled during the recovery procedure, so please ensure that when you are ready, you have the available downtime.
cheers, Rich.
