Migrate indivudual VTAL tape to another DD

Hi!

We have 2 DD9800 in separete DataCenters.

Our AS400 guys are using VTL for their backup. And are now wondering if it´s possible to migrate or replicated a single tape from a VTL in DC1 to another VTL in DC2.

I don´t have muck experience about that, and can only find export tape from library i the GUI

Is there a way? And is it a valid request to do.
Or is it just more simple for them to replicate to another VTL in thier backups?
