DP4400 &Avamar Email Alerts
I've been trying months with support and gotten no where on getting Avamar to e-mail a summarized list of backups failed and completed. They say that it cannot send to a url and has to send to a Ip address. So we setup this to forward to IP to URL but still doesn't work.

Emails have to be sent to an email server, which is also called a SMTP Host.
What kind of URL are you referring to?
Please check the Avamar Administration Guide, there is a chapter "Edit the notification transport". Follow the instructions to update SMTP Host to your email server's IP/FQDN.
