DD OS upgrade and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager
Hello
I have two DD4200 devices on OS ver 5.5 to upgrade to 5.7. They are in 2 locations PROD <-> DR and connected by replication link.
Those devices are used by IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 6.3 as a VTL library.
NFS and CIFS are enabled as well and used by Windows 2008 R2 and Linux clients.
Do you have any experiences about upgrades like that ?
Technically the upgrade looks easy but my question is what tasks should be done before/after on IBM TSM ?
Have you experienced any problems ?

i am 2 years removed from TSM 6.1 so with that in mind before we would upgrade DD we would stop all TSM processes (reclamation, migration, copies ..etc), then we would take drives offline within TSM. After the upgrade we would reverse the order to bring things back up.
