API information gathering

Hi,

I am trying to enable some functionality in our data center around using the REST API. I can generate the token and get the users information, but it is only local users. Is there an ability to get the AD configured administrative groups information as well? I have looked through the API documentation and I don't see it. We have 6.1 as a minimum version of DD OS.

DD API is a joke, can do very limited operations. Last year I talked to the DD product manager at Dell EMC World and he said they are working on expanding the API.  Time will tell.

It is a set of rules that allow programs to talk to each other. The developer creates the API on the server and allows the client to talk to it. REST determines how the API looks like. It stands for “Representational State Transfer”. It is a set of rules that developers follow when they create their API

This is a definition of REST, which is not what I was asking about. I was asking if anyone knew of a way to discover and, if possible, manage the configuration of Administrative users configured through Active Directory. So far that does not appear to be available in the current iterations of the Data Domain REST API.
