XPS 16, order delays

I ordered a dell xps 16 nearly one month ago. Was due to be shipped April 4th. I received a message saying it was delayed and would ship April 24th. That appears to not be the case either. I don’t mind some waiting, but every attempt to find out reason for delay is met with “information is online”. It is not. All it says is the order is delayed, and will ship April 24th. I have never had this issue with dell before, but a lot of people are telling me this is the norm now with the company. If I could get a straight answer as to why it is delayed, and an actual expected date of arrival, would greatly appreciate it.
