Why does finance team need to approve a return for item bought with credit card
I recently bought a server (for personal use) using a credit card through the Dell Outlet, and requested a refund / return well before the 30 day return window. I was told that the "finance team" needs to approve my return, and it has now been a week with no response from them. Can someone explain why the finance team needs to approve a return on an item that was not financed?
Additionally, I've asked twice in the support ticket if someone can confirm that the finance team's delay won't impact my ability to return since I requested within the 30 day window, and gotten non-responses. It certainly seems like I'm good as long as I requested the return / refund within the 30 day window, but as I'm nearing 30 days since purchase, I'd feel a lot better if someone could confirm that.
