Warranty Claim
Hi Support,
We are trying to claim the warranty for the Inspiron laptop purchased last year. Since the device was bought in the US and is now in the Philippines, we processed a warranty transfer. We understood that after this transfer, we could receive support from Dell PH, as we did with a similar transfer from the US to India in 2023.
However, Dell PH support has informed us that we need to upgrade to an international coverage plan for an additional cost. This is a new process for us, as we did not encounter this requirement when Dell India assisted us in 2023. Our goal is to claim the warranty for the device.
Please let us know the best course of action to proceed with the warranty claim. We hope for your consideration, as we have been a loyal Dell customer for over a decade.

You need to upgrade to an onsite service plan -- the basic return to depot warranty that you likely have applies only in the country of purchase.

@ejn63 Hi, thank you for your response. The warranty for our device includes onsite service for 3 years.
