tracking has shown it has not been received by the courier

I purchased a dell laptop on 11th July, by the 12th July it was reported build complete, and it has shipped early and also mentioned it has reached the local delivery depot.  "Your order has reached your local carrier; for accurate delivery dates, please check ‘Track Your Order’."  After that tracking has shown it has not been received by the courier and that has been for the last 5 days (Now 17th July). The delivery date has not yet passed, but I got excited over nothing and clearly this is being economical with the truth.
