Situation over the shipping & delivery

<Started your own thread. DELL-Admin>

I am in the midst of a similar, but far simpler, situation over the shipping & delivery of a new Dell Tower Plus EBT2250.

Quite simply, some Dell tech, incorrectly entered the ZIP code for the shipping address on the shipping slip back on May 9, 2025. The order was cancelled and reordered because of this "internal issue" on May 12th. I've had several chat sessions and lengthy phone calls with Dell Customer Support and the Dell Sales Team that sold me the computer. I was told AGAIN today, that Dell CANNOT go into the form THEY created and simply correct the erroneous ZIP code format & entry and ship the system. Their only option, I am told, is to once AGAIN cancel and reorder the system.

I guess my only hope at this stage is that when they DO reorder the system, they THEN insure that the correct ZIP code is entered in the proper format on THEIR forms!

I am still waiting to hear back from Sales Representative "Ahmed M".

This very simple issue should have been easily "fixable" by Dell within their own documentation, but that is apparently NOT true. It has been an extremely frustrating and time-consuming problem. I only hope that this very simply Dell error can be resolved today, so I can actually get my new Dell computer ordered, shipping, received, and installed!

While you are awaiting for any response from Dell, I just want to point out the assumption of incorrect ZIP Code was entered by Dell tech is also incorrect.

Most if not all large organizations, government, businesses, and all shipping companies use standardized addresses to ensure accurate delivery.  Once the address was entered and standardized on the order, it will be used on customer account and automatically be generated for shipping label.  Nobody going to manually type in the address label anymore.

A sales representative may be helpful while assisting customers, but (s)he may not be able to change your ZIP Code as that would require a tech support person with access to force update if that was indeed an error.

Point is, it will be a lot quicker for you to cancel the problem one and place a new order.  Dell Care agent from this Community will just redirecting you back to Sales.
