S2722DZ, webcam only detected when partially or fully closed, #4

I've had my S2722DZ monitor less than one year, and until yesterday, the webcam worked. Now, the webcam is being detected (and NOT detected) in reverse! The webcam is detected in app menus/apps only when it is closed/pushed down into the monitor-- then the app shows a black screen, because the webcam device inside the monitor body. As soon as I raise or pop up the webcam, it is disconnected and no longer detected by any app.

Troubleshooting steps I have tried with no success:

- disconnect and reconnect the monitor from my computer

- restart my computer

- go to the monitor menu and made sure the camera is enabled (I also disabled and then re-enabled it)
