Requesting a refund, laptop purchased in April
Hi,
Please process a refund on the laptop that I purchased in April 2023. I have been calling Dell multiple times and trying to connect with someone who can get to the bottom of this issue. So far, I have been back to square one each time. Each time I called and the bot says to check online. There is no menu to address my issue on your website. Now I don't want to spend more time to go thru the same process with Technical support over and over again.
I ordered a laptop in early April, 2023, which had an issue (the laptop screen goes to sleep and does not turn back on while the power is on and the keyboard is still lit). I called technical support many times and learned how to wake up the screen as opposed to getting the underlying issue resolved. Then in mid-April, 2023, Dell sent me a replacement laptop, but it had the exactly same issue (which has been sent back to Dell).
Throughout the period, I have spoken with multiple Dell Technicians. One of the technical support technicians advised me the issue resulted from the new Windows system, not Dell, and Microsoft is currently working on the issue. Therefore, the issue will be solved sooner or later. Another technician advised me this particular laptop model that I purchased has this issue. Regardless, the issue persisted for a few months.
By the time the issue continued for a few months, I was not sure whether it is Dell or Microsoft. Actually I don't care at this point of time. At the end of the day, I just wanted a reliable laptop that properly functioned. After spending so much time contacting Dell and restarting the laptop each time when the screen goes to black, I decided to purchase MacBook. That way, I would be completely out of the issues from Dell or MS. Now I am happy with MacBook that works as expected. Please process a refund. I also would like to return the original laptop to Dell. If you have questions, please give me a call. I will wait to hear back from you.

You will not receive a refund on a system that's almost six months old.
