Order delayed then only part delivered
- 03/09/25 I ordered 2 x Dell Tower Plus desktops.
- 05/09/25 I had an email from DP World to say the order was scheduled to arrive between 08:00 and 18:00 on 09/09/2025. The Dell website said 10/09/2025.
- 09/09/25 We made sure there was someone at home all day but nothing arrived. The Dell Tracking ID link to DP World claimed there had been an attempted delivery but we weren't at home. That isn't true. There was someone at home all day. We had a notice on the door to say we were at home and to ring the doorbell (which was working). Nothing was picked up on our security cameras. The Dell status changed to delivery delayed but no clue as to when to expect it.
- 10/09/25 Today there was a delivery. The delivery lad ignored the notice and knocked on the door instead of ringing the bell. I only heard him by chance. He left 1 box. I queried this (was expecting 2) and he said "I only have 1 . Maybe tomorrow". There is only 1 Tower in the box.
- The link to the DP World tracking information no longer works. When am I going to get the rest of my order? This is by far the worst delivery system I have ever come across. Are we expected to stay at home every day until the rest of our order arrives (if it ever does)?

Replying to my own question: The DP World tracking info now says "order delivered short" for today (10/09) and no indication of what to expect next. How do people who have to take time off work for deliveries manage? Why do Dell make things so difficult? I can't get in touch with anyone in Customer support. I've been buying Dell for years but will seriously consider another manufacturer next time.
