Inspiron 14 7445 2-in-1, repair taking a long time

I purchased a laptop at Best Buy. The screen stopped working so they sent it to Dell for warranty repair. That was a month ago and it is still waiting on parts. How long am I supposed to wait before Dell will authorize a replacement laptop? A month seems a long time to be without something I need for my work.
