FedEx delivered laptop to someone that isn’t at my address

<Started your own thread. DELL-Admin>

I have the same issue where I sent my X16 R2 laptop in to be repaired under warranty. Dell shipped it back using FedEx and FedEx delivered it to someone that isn’t at my address. The name on mine was “A.Da”, I called FedEx and they confirmed the signature was not valid and they would reopen the case but needed Dell’s authorization. I requested the authorization and never received it. Meanwhile Advanced Resolutions Support said that FedEx delivered the package to the correct address and they will not help me. My computer is currently missing and I would say stolen. I am forced to act in order to recover damages for a $3,332.49 laptop that I worked hard to have.

Dell makes false promises and is not at all in business to help customers. Their manager told me I was as being shipped a replacement computer for my loss and then I was called by Advanced Resolutions and told I wouldn’t. I’m currently working on a news report to start a larger investigation into these laptop disappearances. It seems VERY COMMON. They don’t ship our computers with “Direct Signature Required” or add insurance to our computers.

<Soliciting other users to act is a violation per the Forum Code of Conduct. DELL-Admin>

Funny enough mine DID have Direct Signature Required but the package never even made it to my porch and the "signature" is a straight line received by "F. Resident". Clearly a case of fraud by FedEx but Dell just keeps trying to tell me this issue is a warranty issue, which makes zero sense given that I never was in possession of the product. I'm working with my local police department to get everything documented and they have been very helpful with gathering evidence for my case. Highly recommend you do the same.

@dbsmith7491 I saw that too and also find it concerning that so many people are having this similar experience. I am taking action as well, unfortunately I am left with no choice as Dells Advanced Resolutions Team is very unwilling to do anything more. FedEx fraudulently claimed delivery to my address with no valid signature. Dell is supporting them by telling me they can no longer help me.

You should immediately file a report with your local police department.  Then contact your credit card provider or financial institution to file a non-delivery incident.  Let them investigate on your behalf.

@ejn63 I actually ended up filing a report yesterday morning and FedEx is now admitting that they believe it was a case of internal theft.  I finally got through to a supervisor this morning after being denied access for 3 days in a row by the first level support staff.  They were immediately able to route my request to the logistics team and I believe a claim will now be filed with FedEx.  I may just see my happy ending afterall.
