DP World: "Your order has not yet been received by our warehouse" 6 days after being shipped?

The "Track My Order" feature on DP World, used by Dell to deliver to consumers in the UK, seems to indicate the PC I bought has been lost in transit?

I purchased a Dell PC online on 28-Jun (Saturday). The PC was listed as in "clearance" with an expected delivery date like 6-13 Jul. I received an order confirmation on 30-Jun (Mon).

I received a notification on 1-Jul (Tue) that the order has been shipped early with an expected delivery date now of 9-Jul. A link to a "Track My Order" feature on the DP World was provided. The message there was "Your order has not yet been received by our warehouse", and there was a slightly different expected delivery date of 10-Jul.

It is now 7-Jul, 6 days later. The DP World website still says "Your order has not yet been received by our warehouse". So the PC I have bought has been shipped (according to Dell), but it has not been received by the people shipping it (DP World). It sounds like it has been lost in transit.

This can be a matter of incorrect information being displayed by DP World instead. Reading related threads on here, it seems DP World often makes mistakes and their website is unreliable.

What are other people's experiences? Is this more likely to be an order lost in transit or just incorrect information being displayed?

International shipping is involved in most cases - from China for notebooks and some desktops, and from Mexico for other desktops in the Americas.  Until the system clears customs in your home country, it won't show up with your shipper.

@ejn63

Thank you. I contacted Dell separately and received a similar reply.

It seems like DP World is only responsible for the part of the delivery journey after the laptop arrives in the country I am in (UK).

Still no update at the time of writing, but fingers crossed.

Update:

I have today received an e-mail from DP World ("NO-REPLY@dpworld.com") stating my delivery is scheduled for tomorrow July 10 (as before) and advising me to arrange for someone to be at the address through 08:00-18:00. The e-mail describes itself as automatically-generated.

The DP World website continues to show "Your order has not yet been received by our warehouse". So it is not clear if the laptop I ordered has even arrived in this country (the UK).

I have read threads on this forum where people follow the reminder to wait at the address for the delivery, only for nothing to happen that day.

Any thoughts?
