Dell UK, SSD, no screw or heatsink
Would like to speak to someone in the UK regarding a problem with an order! The very rude 'customer service' person who called from Bangalore tried to tell me I should have ordered by phone and I would have been told we needed a tiny screw and a heatsink for our very expensive SSD card we just bought online. Who buys on the phone anymore! Can't even get through to any one to make a complaint let alone an order! Really disappointed with Dell fab products rubbish aftersales. Sadly after this probably won't buy again and certainly wont be extending the warranty!

Until you receive assistance from Dell-Care agent, I thought to share some information that provide better clarification and may make you feel a little better.
Unless you purchase NVMe SSD from some chinese off brands, which will provide customers a small screwdriver and M.2 screw, none of the name brands NVMe SSD provide customers with M.2 screw or heatsink. When shopping online, look at the picture and checking the description to see if screw and heatsink are included.
Because SSD with heatsink will not fit inside consumer laptops. Only certain models of NVMe SSD from Samsung, Seagate, Western Digital, and a few more are with factory heatsinks. You can search online for M.2 screw and heatsink to purchase separately.

@Chino de Oro
as I bought the SSD on the Dell website and selected the computer I was buying it for from my past purchase, I think it is not unreasonable to have been offered the thermal pad or screw as an extra? Apparently according the very rude person I spoke to today that if I’d ordered by phone these would have been offered! What a joke no one buys by phone especially when it is so hard to speak to someone and I couldn’t even find the option of the thermal pad or screw on the dell site when I went looking for it after I found out they were needed!
when I mentioned this they didn’t see why I had a problem!
I did ask to speak to someone in charge or the details for head office and he refused.
