Dell laptop to be delivered in 2 days but no tracking is available.

I have the same issue as many others in UK. I ordered a laptop on July 10th which as apparently dispatched on July 12th.

I was given DP World tracking link that sends me to page that wasn't updated with any information for the past 7 days.

My estimated delivery is on July 22nd

Dell says on their order page that my package is with local courier but DP world has no updates.

I have tried checking with DHL as suggested by others by going to https://track.dhlparcel.co.uk/ and for tracking number using 3998 + Dell order number. Still nothing.

Someone else suggested to setup a DHL Express Mobile application with same details as provided to Dell and the shipment might be found automatically. Unfortunately this didn't work either.

As some are saying the delivery might be even late 7 days and it's hard to tell when exactly it will happen.

The problem is that if you don't know the actual date you might not be at home.

It's quite poor on the logistics side from Dell making their customers guess how they are going to receive the delivery.

It's not only about the quality of laptop which I hope is going to be great but also the whole purchase experience. 

The question to Dell support, how can I find when my laptop is going to be delivered if DP World doesn't update their tracking?

Today, I received the laptop, which means the delivery matched the ETA provided by DP World.

The tracking information from DP World only started updating yesterday afternoon, after I received a text message stating that the delivery would take place the next day.

Later in the evening, I received another text message—this time from DHL Express. The tracking number generated was, as expected, 3998 followed by the order number.

All turned out well in the end. It's a pity, though, that DP World doesn’t update the tracking status for nearly 10 days, as it makes it difficult to know when the order will actually arrive.
