deceptive delivery date

I ordered and received an email with a delivery date of 2 days ago.  Thought I was being patient, but checked the tracking and now it says delivery date cannot be determined.   It is not a custom system, straight off the website.  So why do you have the need to lie to your customers the minute an order is placed?
