Business Critical Escalation – Escalation Manager Assignment Requested
We respectfully request your intervention regarding an unresolved issue related to our recent laptop procurement.
Despite multiple communications with both the sales and technical support teams, the supplied systems have now been formally confirmed incompatible with our operational scanning software environment, resulting in ongoing production interruption and significant business impact.
Prior to procurement approval, we clearly established that compatibility with our scanning software environment was a mandatory operational requirement. Our software vendor had already provided validated hardware configurations confirmed to support the application environment. During subsequent discussions, Dell’s sales team advised that the originally considered specification represented a comparatively lower-tier option and recommended the supplied premium commercial laptop as a higher-end professional solution aligned with enterprise performance expectations.
Based on these discussions and assurances, the purchase decision was made in good faith reliance upon Dell’s technical assessment, pre-sales recommendation, and professional expertise. Accordingly, internal approvals and purchase confirmation were completed based on Dell’s recommendation that the system would efficiently support our operational requirements.
Following delivery, comprehensive validation testing conducted jointly with our software vendor in coordination with Dell technical support has confirmed that the supplied RTX Pro 1000 Blackwell GPU architecture is fundamentally incompatible with the required scanning software environment. It has further been confirmed that no hardware upgrade, configuration modification, or remediation path exists to achieve compatibility. The supplied systems are therefore presently unfit for their intended enterprise operational purpose.
Considering that our technical requirements and vendor-supported configurations were clearly communicated prior to procurement, and that the purchase decision relied upon Dell’s pre-sales technical recommendation, we respectfully request this case to be reviewed under a pre-sales technical recommendation consideration.
In view of the confirmed incompatibility and resulting operational impact, we formally request immediate commercial resolution through:
• Replacement of the supplied laptops with RTX 4060 or higher validated compatible systems, or
• An equivalent corrective solution enabling immediate operational deployment.
