Aurora R16, purchased in US, transferred to China, Dell China refuses to support
My Alienware Aurora R16 was purchased in March 2024 when I was working in New York. The warranty service been transferred to China when I travel back to China in August 2024 and extend the service for another 4 years, since August 2024. However, recently I got some issue of my PC may caused by Intel 14900KF CPU or Z690 motherboard, when I request DELL China Support, they just rejected it without a reason, just keeping repeating the same words in a 5-minute talk on the phone: "Due to the PC not being purchased in China, you need to contact DELL US to provide service.". for now! I transferred my service to China already and purchased a service extension. I can't get any support from China, I can get any support from US. I feel so frustrated and disappointed; this was not the Dell service that I used in the past 20 years. I'm planning to write an email to DELL China consumer service and DELL Care to escalate.
Just for reminding anyone who may want to transfer service to China or want to have internation service in China, you have to be prepared for the same situation.
