Alienware laptop from amazon warranty transfer

How can I transfer the Dell/Alienware warranty from a laptop purchased on Amazon (sold by Amazon) to my property? I'm on the transfer form and I don't know what to put in the required "previous owner" fields (company name and zipcode). Warranty still valid, but I don't remember ever registering the product. I wrote to Amazon and they told me Dell should apply warranty directly, any clue?

You should not need to transfer the warranty - just register the device:

  • Dell products that are purchased directly from Dell are automatically registered.
  • For Dell products that are purchased from Amazon directly (Sold by Amazon), you should follow the Dell Product Registration process to register your product.
  • Dell products that are purchased from third-party resellers on Amazon Marketplace (even if Fulfilled by Amazon) and eBay (or similar sites in your region), require transfer of ownership, as described in Ownership Transfer.

This is from Dell, so yeah that's right!
