$6,000 Order — No Tracking, No Shipment, No Updates (Delivery Was Supposed to Be Today)

I placed a high-value order totaling nearly $6,000, and the delivery date is showing as today, July 18, yet I’ve received no tracking number from Dell directly.

After calling support, I was given a FedEx tracking number—but FedEx shows they’ve not even received the package yet. So not only is my system not arriving today, but it also hasn’t even shipped.

This is completely unacceptable for a premium order. If I’m paying this kind of money, the bare minimum expectation is timely and accurate delivery updates.

I need a real update ASAP on what is happening with my order:

  • Has it actually shipped?

  • When will it be received by FedEx?

  • What’s the realistic delivery timeline now?

I hope someone from the Dell team can step in and provide actual clarity. At this price point, this level of delay and lack of transparency is extremely disappointing.

When you receive the tracking number, it means the order has shipped.  Bear in mind if it's a notebook computer, that means from China.  If it's a desktop computer, and in most of the Western hemisphere, it will ship either from Mexico or China.  You do need to allow up to a couple of weeks for the shipment to reach your home country.  

At that point, the tracking number becomes active with the shipper.
