OUT OF BAND OFFLINE
** I have 2 fabric ED-140 M..
FABRIC A and FAbric B connected to AIX server 5.3..AIX server are connected to both fabric on 2 different port port 2 and 6 ...
I am reciving error OUT OF BAND Offline.Also getting loss of sync error... every alternate day...
This is newly installed server .. Kindly suggest..

I have logged a case with EMC .they informed issue is about EMC ODM driver need to be installed on AIX .but issue still persist not able to trace same.

It sounds like you are having network related issues and CM is loosing connections out to switches. It shouldn't be affecting the FC side of the switch, only management of the switches may have issues. Can you provide more details into what exactly happens when you see the message? What type of port are you seeing issues with? Have you opened a support case with EMC?

I checked the case and it appears to me to be related to either a problem with the configuration of the hosts (drivers especially) or a patch panel in between the two connections. As the sftp has been replaced a couple of times and the switches errors point towards problems off of it, I'd start with loading the required drivers, checking cables, patch panels, etc.

I found an emc article emc161137 which says about similar issue in old version for CM. ,Please let me know if it can resolve the issue for fabric going offline ,However we have current CM version 9.6.2,Build 10.
Also what will be the impact ?

Sorry for late reply .i got the issue resolve by monitoring the server and connectrix ogs.
Found due to server getting restart in the back ground we where getting out of band offline error.
