DCNM 11.5.4 Zone Readonly error (zone status is n/a)

Hi

i am getting a readonly error when trying to add zones to a switch, via the DCNM SAN GUI, and i get an error saying the zonestatus is read only

Which model connectrix switch do you have and what is the current os that it is running, as you didn’t state that in your post?

hi there, apologies for that, it is a Cisco MDS 9132T running version 9.2(2)

Hello AndreKruger,

Was there any switch upgrades done recently or a newer version of DCNM installed before this issues started? The ports on the switch have their license active?

no upgrades done, although i have plans to upgrade it soon to 9.2.(4), all ports a re licensed, that said, it is only the one switch doing this out of the 4, the other three are working just fine

Have you tried to reboot the switch? Is the problem switch connected to your other 3 working switches?

Hello AndreKruger,

It is best to open a support case for this issue as we will need to collect some logs from your switch so that we can review them to see what is going on with the switch.
